Liverpool FC striker to quit as he looks to revive his career – report
Danny Ings will quit Liverpool FC this summer, according to reports
Danny Ings will quit Liverpool FC this summer, according to reports in the British media.
BBC Sport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Ings is going to seek a transfer away from Anfield this summer as he looks to revive his career elsewhere.
The 25-year-old has been troubled by injury problems since signing for the Reds from Burnley back in 2015, and he has only recently recovered from the second of a long-term knee injury.
The forward has two years left on his current contract at Anfield, but according to the same report, Liverpool FC are willing to let him leave the Merseyside club for a nominal fee this summer.
The same story says that Ings’ chances of resurrecting his career at Anfield were made slimmer by Mohamed Salah’s fine form up front along with the likes of Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC are thought to be on the lookout for significant reinforcements this summer as the Reds look to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
The Merseyside outfit ended up in fourth place in the Premier League table last season and without a trophy after having been beaten by Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
