Liverpool FC striker delivers latest update on his future
Divock Origi says that he is ready to fight for his first-team place at Liverpool FC next season
Divock Origi has insisted that he wants to stay at Liverpool FC and fight for his future under Jurgen Klopp.
The Belgian forward was shipped out on loan by the Premier League club last season and he spent the campaign at German side Wolfsburg.
However, Origi did not produce his best form for the Bundesliga outfit as he scored seven goals in 36 appearances for the German side.
The 23-year-old is now poised to report back to Melwood this summer as he looks to try and force his way into contention for a starting spot at Anfield next season.
And the forward has revealed that he is determined to try and hold down a regular spot in the first team under Klopp next term.
Origi told NTV in Nigeria: “Many times after a game, I get the feeling that I have not done enough, I should have done better.
“Of course there is room for improvement.
“I have worked under several coaches and wish to appreciate each one of them.
“Jurgen Klopp though has helped me improve, he knows how to push you into performing, he knows exactly what should happen.”
Liverpool FC earned plenty of praise last season as the Reds finished fourth in the Premier League and reached the Champions League final, where they were beaten by Real Madrid back in May.
The Reds are still looking to win their first trophy under Klopp since his appointment as Brendan Rodgers’ permanent successor at Anfield back in October 2015.
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC secured the signing of Brazilian midfielder Fabinho earlier in the transfer window to kick off their summer spending.
