Nabil Fekir is still keen on a move to Liverpool FC this summer from Lyon, according to journalist David Maddock.

The Reds have been heavily linked with a move to bring the France international to Anfield this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.

Fekir was believed to be on the verge of signing for Liverpool FC earlier this month, only for the proposed transfer to fall through at the final hour.

Lyon then issued a statement claiming that Fekir would definitely be staying with the French club for next season.

However, the reports linking the 24-year-old attacker with a move to Anfield have not subsided, and Daily Mirror journalist Maddock is now claiming that Fekir himself is still keen on a switch to Anfield this summer.

Maddock wrote on Twitter: “Fekir still wants @LFC move. His advisors believe it is possible to resurrect restructured deal.

“Lyon president concedes it could still happen. Asked by BeIN Sports if negotiations with Liverpool are dead, Aulas said: “Nothing is ever completely over in the footballing world.”

Liverpool FC have officially confirmed one signing so far this summer after announcing the arrival of Brazilian midfielder Fabinho from Monaco.

The Reds will be looking to challenge for the Premier League title next season after they finished fourth and without a trophy last term.

Liverpool FC reached the Champions League final but they were beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid in Kiev.
