The Reds have been heavily linked with a move to sign the goalkeeper this summer after Loris Karius’ Champions League final nightmare.
AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson has been strongly touted as a target for the Reds in the last few months but the Brazilian shot-stopper is understood to be attracting interest from a host of other top clubs.
Now, Firmino has revealed that he has been speaking to Alisson about a possible move to Merseyside and he admits that he would love to see the goalkeeper move to the club.
Firmino told a news conference while on Brazil duty on Wednesday: “Yes, he asked me about Liverpool and I hope he can come here, but I know he has other proposals.
“From time to time I will give him a pinch to come to Liverpool and help us, but it’s with his agents. It wouldn’t be bad if he came to Liverpool.”
Karius’ future at Liverpool FC is likely to be in doubt after the German goalkeeper made two big mistakes in the Champions League final against Real Madrid.
The Reds ended up losing 3-1 to the Spanish giants to leave them still searching for their first trophy under Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool FC have already moved quickly to begin their transfer business by wrapping up a deal to sign Brazilian midfielder Fabinho from Monaco.
