Liverpool FC could have to spend big to sign quality 24-year-old – report
Liverpool FC are hoping to see Nabil Fekir's asking price driven up this summer, according to reports
Lyon are hoping that interest from a number of top clubs will drive up Nabil Fekir’s asking price this summer as he continues to be linked with a move to Liverpool FC, according to reports in France.
French newspaper L’Equipe, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that interest from the likes of Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid could be set to drive up the 24-year-old’s price this summer.
The same story says that Fekir himself has his “heart set” on a move to Anfield this summer, but Liverpool FC have so far not concluded a deal for the attacker.
The article also claims that the Reds have so far lodged one bid for Fekir, but Lyon are planning to block any move for the attacker until after the World Cup.
The hope is that Fekir’s asking price will be driven upwards by an impressive World Cup campaign with France.
Liverpool FC have already begun their summer recruitment drive by signing Brazilian midfielder Fabinho from Monaco last week.
The Reds are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they bid to try and build a team capable of challenging for the Premier League title next term.
