Liverpool FC line up £15m bid to sign 26-year-old goalkeeper – report
Liverpool FC are lining up a £15m bid to sign Nick Pope from Burnley, say reports
Liverpool FC are preparing a £15m summer transfer bid to sign Nick Pope from Burnley, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Reds are keen on a deal to bring the 26-year-old shot-stopper to Anfield as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
The same story says that the Reds are lining up a £15m bid for Pope because they view him as a much more affordable option than Alisson Becker of AS Roma, who could cost as much as £70m.
Liverpool FC are widely thought to be on the lookout for reinforcements between the posts after Loris Karius’ nightmare in the Champions League final last month.
Simon Mignolet has also largely failed to impress under Jurgen Klopp and the Reds are thought to be keen on bringing in a new goalkeeper this summer.
Liverpool FC have already begun their summer recruitment drive by bringing in Brazilian midfielder Fabinho this summer.
The Reds are thought to be on the lookout for a number of other signings as Klopp looks to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
