Sky Sports reporter hints Real Madrid leading Liverpool FC in race to sign 25-year-old
Vinny O'Connor gives the latest update on both Real Madrid and Liverpool FC's interest in Alisson
Alisson Becker is more keen on a move to Real Madrid than Liverpool FC, according to Sky Sports reporter Vinny O’Connor.
The Reds have been heavily linked with a move to bring the Brazilian goalkeeper to Anfield this summer as they look to try and bolster their options between the posts ahead of next season.
Liverpool FC are believed to be on the lookout for a new shot-stopper after Loris Karius’ Champions League final nightmare last month.
AS Roma shot-stopper Alisson has been strongly linked with a switch to Anfield, but Real Madrid are also believed to be interested in signing the Brazil international this summer.
Now, Sky Sports reporter O’Connor has revealed that the player himself may be favouring a move to the Bernabeu ahead of a switch to Anfield.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, O’Connor said: “The biggest factor for Liverpool is that the player seems more keen on a move to Real Madrid.”
Liverpool FC are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to try and build a squad capable of challenging for the title next season.
The Reds have already completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Fabinho from Monaco this summer as they look to try and get their business done as early as possible.
