Marco Asensio is “tempted” by a transfer to Liverpool FC this summer as the Real Madrid starlet mulls over his options, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish newspaper Marca, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Reds are willing to offer Asensio a significant pay rise in order to try and tempt him into a move to Anfield.
The 22-year-old forward has been touted as a possible target for the Reds in recent weeks as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
There have been some reports claiming that the Merseyside outfit are ready to splash a huge transfer fee in trying to sign Asensio this summer as the Reds look to bolster their attacking options.
There is yet to be any official word from Real Madrid or Liverpool FC on the reports, but it seems that the Reds would be willing to offer Asensio a significant pay hike, according to the same story.
The story also claims that Asensio could be tempted by a move to Liverpool FC because he would have the chance to be one of the Reds’ talismanic players moving forwards.
Liverpool FC are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings as Klopp looks to assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
