Liverpool FC will demand £15m to sell 28-year-old – report
Liverpool FC will demand a £15m transfer fee for Daniel Sturridge, say reports
Liverpool FC will demand a transfer fee of £15m if they are to sell Daniel Sturridge this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Reds are prepared to offload their out of favour striker as they look to revamp their squad ahead of next season.
The same report says that Sevilla are ready to revive their interest in signing the English forward, with Turkish side Fenerbahce also said to be keen on a move for him.
Sturridge spent the second half of last season on loan to West Bromwich Albion after he was deemed to be surplus to requirements at Anfield by Jurgen Klopp.
The story says that Sturridge is currently scheduled to return to pre-season training with Liverpool FC next month, but he knows that he is behind at least three players in the pecking order in Klopp’s team.
The article also claims, though, that Sturridge could choose to stay on at Liverpool FC because his contract expires next summer, meaning that he could leave on a free transfer then.
Liverpool FC are believed to be on the lookout for a number of signings this summer as Klopp looks to build a squad capable of winning the title next season.
