Liverpool FC set to target Brazilian defender in £35m deal – report
Liverpool FC are interested in a deal to sign FC Porto full-back Alex Telles, according to a report
Liverpool FC are ready to submit a £35m bid to sign FC Porto defender Alex Telles, according to a report in France.
French media outlet Le Parisien, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Reds are looking at a potential deal to sign Telles in the current transfer window.
The same article states that Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp wants to sign the left-back to provide some genuine competition for Andy Robertson and Alberto Moreno.
According to the same story, Chelsea FC are also interested in the 25-year-old and the Blues have been scouting Telles since January.
Worryingly for both Premier League clubs, cash rich Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping tabs on the FC Porto full-back.
Telles scored four goals and made 14 assists in 42 games in all competitions during the 2017-18 season at FC Porto.
Liverpool FC signed Brazil international Fabinho in a £40m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco earlier in the summer transfer window.
The Reds finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to secure their continued participation in the Champions League.
Liverpool FC lost 3-1 to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev last month.
