Top Brazilian breaks silence amid Liverpool FC transfer talk
Alisson Becker opens up about his future situation amid links with Liverpool FC this summer
Alisson Becker has admitted that he wants his future to be sorted out before the start of the World Cup in Russia this week as he continues to be linked with a transfer to Liverpool FC.
The 25-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper has been strongly linked with a transfer to Anfield in recent days as Jurgen Klopp looks to add to his options between the posts.
Liverpool FC are thought to be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper this summer in the wake of Loris Karius’ Champions League nightmare.
Alisson has now spoken out about his future and has seemed to hint that a transfer away from AS Roma this summer could very much be on the cards.
However, he says that he has left the final decision in the hands of his agent as he focuses on international duty with Brazil ahead of the World Cup.
Speaking to Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte, Alisson said: “I think everything will be resolved before the start of the World Cup, that’s what I want.
“The truth is that I left everything in the hands of my agent. If everything is not resolved, it will be discussed after the World Cup.
“Right now, I’m focused only on the World Cup.
“There are some possibilities and we are working on all of them, together with Roma, always respecting the club. We’ll see if anything happens this week.”
Liverpool FC have already begun their summer recruitment drive by signing Brazilian midfielder Fabinho from Monaco.
The Reds were thought to also have been close to signing Nabil Fekir from Lyon but the deal fell through over the weekend.
Liverpool FC finished fourth and without a trophy last season.
