Liverpool FC target agrees terms with Real Madrid – report
Real Madrid are closing in on the signing of Alisson Becker, according to reports in Italy
Alisson Becker has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid, dealing a blow to Liverpool FC’s hopes of signing the goalkeeper this summer, according to reports in Italy.
Gianluca Di Marzio, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Real Madrid look to be winning the race to sign the 25-year-old Brazilian despite Liverpool FC having been strongly linked with the goalkeeper this summer.
The same report says that Real Madrid have been negotiating a contract with the goalkeeper’s representatives in recent weeks as they also look to agree a fee with AS Roma for the shot-stopper.
According to the same story, Real Madrid have made an initial £48m offer to Roma, with the Italian side holding out for a fee closer to £70m.
However, it is claimed that Real Madrid are now planning to accelerate their bid to sign Alisson this summer and there is growing optimism that a £52m deal plus bonuses could be agreed next week.
According to the same article, Liverpool FC are yet to return to Roma with a fresh bid for the goalkeeper since their offer of £44m plus bonuses was rejected earlier this summer.
Liverpool FC have already concluded the signing of Brazilian midfielder Fabinho from Monaco this summer.
