Liverpool FC have secured the signing of ngland youth striker Bobby Duncan from Manchester City, according to reports
Liverpool FC have beaten off strong competition from the likes of Tottenham Hotspur to seal a deal to sign England youth striker Bobby Duncan from Manchester City, according to reports in the British regional media.
The Liverpool Echo is reporting that the Reds have agreed a deal to bring the teenage forward to Anfield this summer, beating a number of Europe’s top clubs to his signature.
The same report says that the Reds have agreed a compensation package with City worth around £200,000 to complete the signing of the teenager.
The article also claims that Tottenham, Juventus, Monaco and Roma were all keen on signing Duncan, but he opted for Liverpool FC because he had his heart set on the move.
The teenager is the cousin of Liverpool FC legend Steven Gerrard and he is expected to link up with his new club for pre-season training next week.
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC officially confirmed the arrival of midfielder Naby Keita this week after his move from RB Leipzig finally went through.
The Guinea international has been handed the prestigious number eight shirt at Anfield and he will be the first player to wear that squad number since Gerrard left the club back in 2015.
