The Brazil international completed a £39m move to Liverpool FC from AS Monaco on Monday evening to their summer spending underway.
Fabinho will improve Klopp’s options in midfield for the 2018-19 Premier League campaign amid continued uncertainty surrounding Emre Can’s future.
The 24-year-old won the Ligue 1 title with AS Monaco ahead of Paris Saint-Germain in 2016-17 season and reach the Champions League semi-finals.
Fabinho was linked with a move to Manchester United over the past two seasons but the Red Devils failed to complete a deal for the South American midfielder.
Former Reds defender Nicol is adamant that Fabinho will prove a big hit at Anfield following his summer mover to the 18-time English champions.
“He is a good fit,” Nicol told ESPN FC.
“We don’t know when the Ox will be right. There will be no Can. Henderson has had his injury problems. This is a great signing.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table to secure a Champions League spot in successive seasons.
The Reds suffered a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev last weekend after goals from Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale.
The Merseyside outfit are still waiting to get their hands on some silverware for the first time under the former Borussia Dortmund head coach.
Liverpool FC are looking to win the English top flight crown for the first time since 1990.
