Liverpool FC are facing a “race against the clock” to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Lyon have decided that they will let the 24-year-old attacker leave the French club at the right price, and that Liverpool FC are hopeful that the price will not exceed £50m.

According to the same story, Fekir has “100 per cent” decided on Anfield as his destination for this summer, but the Reds now face a race against time to get the deal done before the start of the World Cup next week.

The Reds are thought to be keen to try and get the deal done before he kicks a ball in Russia with France at the World Cup.

However, although Liverpool FC are thought to be keen to get a deal in place before the start of the World Cup, Fekir himself is said to be willing to wait until after the tournament to get his future finalised.

Liverpool FC completed their first signing of the summer recently by tying up a deal to sign Brazilian midfielder Fabinho from Monaco.
