Mark Lawrenson urges Liverpool FC to sign 25-year-old goalkeeper
The Liverpool FC legend wants the Reds to take Jack Butland in the summer transfer window
Mark Lawrenson believes it is the right time for Liverpool FC to take Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland.
The Reds are thought to be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper following Loris Karius’ disastrous performance in the Champions League final.

The Merseyside outfit have been regularly linked with a potential swoop to sign AS Roma goalkeeper Loris Karius.
The Reds have also been touted with an interest in Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak in the 2018 summer transfer window.
However, former Liverpool FC defender Lawrenson believes the Reds should launch an offer for the England international.
“He’s had a poor season,” Lawrenson told BBC Radio 5 Live. “Maybe this might be the time to take him.
“You’ll have to look around to see how much money they’ve got.
“I don’t think the budget was assigned for the outfield player. He might miss out on an outfield player to get a goalkeeper.”
