Mohamed Salah issues Liverpool FC ultimatum over summer transfer – report
Mohamed Salah threatens to leave Liverpool FC unless the Reds sign an alternative to Nabil Fekir, according to a report
Mohamed Salah has threatened to quit Liverpool FC to move to FC Barcelona or Real Madrid, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the Egypt international wants Liverpool FC to sign an alternative to Nabil Fekir or else risk losing the PFA player of the year.
Fekir’s proposed move to the Anfield side collapsed over the weekend due to Liverpool FC’s concerns over the Lyon star’s long-standing knee problem.
The same article states that Salah was desperate to see Fekir completed a switch to the Reds following his incredible season in Ligue 1 to help Lyon finish in third spot.
The 24-year-old netted 18 goals and made eight assists in 30 games in Ligue 1 last term despite Alexandre Lacazette’s move to Arsenal from Lyon last summer.
According to the same story, Salah is willing to move to FC Barcelona or Real Madrid unless Liverpool FC strengthen their attacking options with an alternative to Fekir.
Liverpool FC finished in fourth spot in the Premier League table last season after Salah scored 32 goals in his first full campaign in the English top flight.
Salah netted 10 times to help Liverpool FC reach the Champions League before he suffered a shoulder injury in their 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in Kiev.
