Nabil Fekir replies when asked about Liverpool FC transfer bid
The Lyon star replies when asked about potential move to Liverpool FC this summer
Nabil Fekir has underlined that he is happy at Lyon despite reports linking him with a move to Liverpool FC.
The Reds were thought to be on the brink of a deal to sign the Lyon captain last week as Liverpool FC looked to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s attacking options.
Liverpool FC were thought to have so as far as bringing Fekir to Melwood training ground with view to a £60m transfer deal.
Indeed, Fekir was reported to have selected his squad number before an issue with his medical was reported to have raised some concerns about the France star.
The Lyon playmaker will hope to prove his detractors wrong on the world stage after he was selected in the France squad for the World Cup in Russia.
He was a second-half substitute in France’s 2-1 win against Australia in their opening group-stage fixture.
Asked about whether Liverpool FC pulled out of a deal to sign Fekir due to medical concerns in a bid to lower his asking price, the France star was quoted as saying by Metro:
“You know I am here with France, I am happy, and I am not here to discuss my personal situation. We will see about all that later.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to ensure their continued participation in the Champions League.
The Reds lost 3-1 to Real Madrid in the Champions League final last month.
