Liverpool, Tottenham warned talented 22-year-old will cost more than £15m
Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth believes Liverpool FC and Spurs will have to pay more than £15m for Jack Grealish this summer
Liverpool FC and Tottenham Hotspur will have to pay in excess of £15m to sign Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish this summer, Dharmesh Sheth has claimed.
Tottenham were reported to have made a £15m offer to sign Grealish from the Championship side last week as Spurs look to capitalise on the financial crisis at Villa Park.
Chelsea FC are also thought to be interested in Grealish amid talk of the Blues submitting a £30m offer earlier this month for the former Under-21 Republic of Ireland international.
Reports this week suggested that Liverpool FC had also made a bid in the region of £15m for the English playmaker as competition for his signature hots up.
Villa will be hoping to trigger a bidding war which would help the Birmingham side to ease their financial woes ahead of the new season.
While Sheth doesn’t believe Villa will get £40m for Grealish, the Sky Sports News reporter doesn’t expect Liverpool FC or Spurs to succeed with a £15m offer.
“I am sure he won’t go for £15m but I am equally sure he won’t go for £40m,” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast.
Grealish has three years of experience in the Premier League before the Birmingham side were demoted to the second tier of English football in 2016.
The playmaker has been a controversial figure on and off the pitch in the early stages of his Villa career.
