Man City to rival Arsenal in bid to sign Ivory Coast star – report
Man City are ready to rival Arsenal in the race to sign Jean Michael Seri from Nice, according to reports
Manchester City are considering a transfer bid to rival Arsenal in the race to sign Jean Michael Seri from Nice this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Citizens could be set to turn their attentions towards signing the 26-year-old as Napoli refuse to budge on their £60m valuation of Jorginho.
According to the same story, Seri would be available for just £36m this summer and that could prompt Manchester City to make a move for the midfielder as they try and beat both Arsenal and West Ham United to his signature.
The same report says that Manchester City would immediately move into pole position to sign Seri should they firm up their interest in bringing him to the Etihad.
Arsenal are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as new manager Unai Emery looks to assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
The north London side are having to settle for yet another campaign without Champions League football next season after they finished in a disappointing sixth place in the Premier League table.
