Man United refuse to meet asking price to sign top Brazilian – report
Man United do not want to meet Juventus' asking price of €60m for Alex Sandro this summer, say reports
Manchester United are refusing to meet Juventus’ €60m asking price for Alex Sandro this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Record is reporting that the Red Devils are keen on a move to bring Sandro to Old Trafford this summer but are not prepared to shell out that much for a player whom Juve have “informally” placed on the market.
The 27-year-old full-back currently has two years left on his contract at Juventus and he is no stranger to being linked with a move to the Premier League, with the Brazilian having been strongly touted as a target for Chelsea FC last summer, but a switch failed to materialise.
According to the same story, Manchester United are long-term admirers of Sandro, with the Red Devils having been pursuing a move for the left-back since Christmas.
And the same article says that Alex Sandro himself is keen on a switch to Manchester United, with the player pushing for a move away from the club.
Manchester United have already begun their summer recruitment drive, with the Red Devils having tied up deals for both Brazilian midfielder Fred and young full-back Diogo Dalot last week.
