Diogo Dalot is set to undergo a medical with Manchester United this week before completing his transfer from FC Porto, according to reports in the British media.
Sky Sports is reporting that the 19-year-old is set to undergo a medical at Carrington as he looks set to become one of the Red Devils’ first summer signings.
The same story says that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been in the market for a new right-back for some time, and the Red Devils are looking set to conclude a deal to bring Dalot to Old Trafford from the Portuguese club this summer.
Dalot is understood to have a €20m (£17.4m) release clause in his contract with FC Porto, and he only made his first-team debut for Manchester United back in February.
Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Mourinho looks to assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League next season.
The Red Devils finished in second place in the Premier League table and without a trophy in Mourinho’s second campaign in charge at the club last term.
Manchester United have not won the Premier League title since their final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
