New Man United signing sets out his targets with the Red Devils
Fred explains why he thinks he can help Man United challenge for the Premier League next season
Fred is determined to try and help Manchester United to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
The Brazilian midfielder was finally officially confirmed as a Red Devils player last week as he completed his move from Shakhtar Donetsk to become Manchester United’s second signing of the summer after the arrival of Diogo Dalot.
Jose Mourinho will be looking for his Manchester United side to challenge for the Premier League title next season after the Red Devils ended up in second place and without a trophy last term.
Indeed, Manchester United have not won the Premier League title since their famous final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
And Manchester United’s latest summer signing has revealed his intention to try and help the Red Devils challenge for the major honours following his move to Old Trafford this summer.
Speaking in an interview with Manchester United’s website, Fred said: ”At United, I’m looking to win titles, alongside my new team-mates and my new manager, win matches with the club and make history by achieving great things together.”
Manchester United won both the Europa League and League Cup in Mourinho’s first season in charge at the club, but they struggled to compete with Manchester City last term.
The Red Devils are still believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings as they look to try and build a squad capable of winning the title next term.
