Roy Keane labels reported Man United transfer target ‘a disgrace’
Roy Keane was not at all impressed by Jerome Boateng's performance for Germany against Sweden
Roy Keane has launched a scathing attack on Jerome Boateng for his performance in Germany’s win over Sweden at the World Cup, as the defender continues to be linked with a transfer to Manchester United.
The Germany international has been strongly touted as a target for the Red Devils in recent days, with his future at Bayern Munich seemingly up in the air.
Boateng played 82 minutes of the 2-1 win over Sweden on Saturday before being sent off for a second bookable offence.
And speaking during ITV Sport‘s coverage of the game, Manchester United legend Keane expressed his dissatisfaction at Boateng’s performance for the Germany team on Saturday.
Speaking at half-time, Keane said: “The two centre halves will give you a heart-attack. Boateng has got to come off.
“Boateng has been a disgrace. He’s been walking around he’s like it’s a game of Sunday league football. He’s been a disgrace, get him off.”
Boateng has been touted as a possible transfer target for Manchester United in recent days as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his defensive options at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to try and build a team capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last season and without a trophy.
