Juventus could wait to make move to sign Man United star – report
Juventus could wait for Anthony Martial to run down his contract at Man United, according to reports
Juventus could be willing to wait for Anthony Martial to run down his contract at Manchester United before leaving on a free transfer, according to reports in Italy.
Italian outlet Tuttosport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Serie A side are keen on a move to bring the 22-year-old striker to Italy.
However, according to the same report, Manchester United have told Juventus that Martial would not come cheap after naming an asking price of £79m for the France international striker.
It is claimed in the same story, though, that Juventus could be willing to hold off and wait for Martial to run down his contract at Old Trafford before landing him on a free transfer.
It is a tactic which recently paid off for the Italian club, who signed midfielder Emre Can from Liverpool FC this summer after the Germany star’s contract expired.
Martial’s future has been a source of speculation recently due to his lack of playing time under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford last season.
Meanwhile, Manchester United officially confirmed the signing of Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk this week as Mourinho continues to bolster his squad ahead of his third season in charge at the club.
