Man United make £57m bid to sign 23-year-old – report
Man United have had a £57m bid to sign Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan rejected, say reports
Manchester United have made a £57m bid to sign Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan, according to reports in Italy.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Red Devils have made an official offer to try and sign the 23-year-old defender as Jose Mourinho looks to add to his options at the back ahead of next season.
The same report says that Manchester United have made a big-money bid to try and sign the Slovakia international at Mourinho’s request this summer.
However, the story also claims that Inter Milan could prove difficult to negotiate with after they rejected Manchester United’s approach and told Manchester United that they have no intention of letting the defender leave the club this summer.
Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Mourinho looks to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
The Red Devils finished in second place in the Premier League table last season but ended the campaign without a trophy after they were beaten by Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final at Wembley last month.
