Journalist suggests Man United star could be sold this summer
Duncan Castles suggests that Man United could end up selling Paul Pogba this summer for the right price
Manchester United could be tempted into selling Paul Pogba this summer if the right offer arrives, according to reporter Duncan Castles.
The 25-year-old midfielder’s future has been something of a source of speculation recently due to his stuttering form for Manchester United last season.
The France international was criticised for failing to produce consistent performances for the Red Devils last season as Manchester United ended up in second place in the Premier League table.
There have also been reports of Pobga and Jose Mourinho not seeing eye-to-eye, sparking suggestions that the Frenchman could be offloaded this summer.
While there is nothing to suggest that talk of Pogba leaving Old Trafford is anything more than media speculation at this stage, Sunday Times journalist Castles feels that the Red Devils could indeed be tempted into selling the midfielder should the right offer arrive.
Speaking on the Transfer Window podcast, Castles said: “It isn’t impossible that a club like PSG, Barcelona or Real Madrid could come with a lucrative offer that would prove appealing to the player.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they bid to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
The Red Devils have already concluded deals for both full-back Diogo Dalot and midfielder Fred so far this summer.
