Man United ready to ‘sacrifice’ Anthony Martial to fund huge transfer – report
Man United are ready to sell Anthony Martial to fund a deal to land Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain, say reports
Manchester United are ready to sell Anthony Martial as part of a deal to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are keen on a move to try and bring the 19-year-old France attacker to Old Trafford this summer, and that they are willing to let Martial go to fund the transfer.
The same report says that Manchester United are prepared to let Martial move to PSG as part of the same deal in part exchange, to ensure that they are able to conclude a deal for Mbappe.
The story also claims that Manchester United are likely to face competition from the likes of Real Madrid for the signature of Mbappe this summer.
Martial’s future at Old Trafford has been something of a source of speculation in recent weeks due to his lack of playing time at the club last season.
Indeed, his agent has been quoted in the media as saying that the striker is seeking a move away from Old Trafford in search of regular first-team playing time.
Manchester United are believed to be on the hunt for a number of new signings this summer as they look to build a squad capable of winning the title next season.
