Man United star Paul Pogba fires blunt warning at his critics
Man United star Paul Pogba has a concise message for his critics
Paul Pogba has claimed that he has become the most criticised player in the world following his transfer to Manchester United.
The France international re-signed for the Red Devils back in the summer of 2016 in what was a world-record transfer deal.
However, the 25-year-old midfielder has struggled to produce consistent performances for Manchester United since that move and he has come under constant scrutiny due to his huge price tag.
Pogba was criticised for his failure to produce solid performances for the Red Devils last season as they finished in second place in the Premier League table and without a trophy.
The midfielder is now on international duty with France at the World Cup, and he helped his side kick off their campaign with a 2-1 win over Australia in Russia.
And the France international had a message for his critics after the group stage win.
Speaking to French outlet Telefoot, Pogba said: “It’s funny, I went from the biggest transfer in the world, to the most criticised player in the world.
“As the coach said, we can do better and we have to do better.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United have already concluded the signings of Diogo Dalot and Fred this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League next season.
The Red Devils are looking to win the Premier League trophy for the first time since their final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
