The Belgian defender has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent days as Jose Mourinho looks to add to his defensive options ahead of next season.
Manchester United are thought to be keen on bringing the 29-year-old Belgian to Old Trafford as they look to assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title.
Tottenham are believed to value Alderweireld at around £50m, but football consultant McGarry feels that it is unlikely that Spurs will get a transfer fee that high for the defender.
Speaking on the Transfer Window podcast, transfer insider McGarry said: “He will leave but at less than £50m fee quoted by Spurs.”
Manchester United have already made two new signings this summer after having tied up deals for both Brazilian midfielder Fred and young Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot.
The Red Devils, though, are thought to be keen to significantly add to their squad this summer as they bid to try and challenge Manchester City’s dominance at the top of the Premier League table.
Manchester United have not won the Premier League since their final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
