Juventus will have to lower their asking price for Manchester United to sign Alex Sandro, according to Duncan Castles.

The Brazil international has been linked with a move to the Premier League over the past 12 months since is impressive performances in Serie A.

Chelsea FC were thought to be interested in a move to sign Sandro last summer but the Blues were unable to get a deal over the line.

Manchester United have since moved into position to sign the South American full-back but a deal doesn’t appear to be close to fruition.

The Red Devils are in the market to sign a top left-back given Jose Mourinho’s reluctance to use England international Luke Shaw.

Tottenham Hotspur’s England international Danny Rose was rumoured to be a potential target for the Red Devils.

However, transfer speculation continues to link Manchester United with a move to sign Sandro this summer.

But Sunday Times reporter Castles believes Juventus will need to lower their demands if Manchester United are to sign the Brazilian defender this summer.

“Juventus will need to lower their asking price considerably before Man United will pay it,” Castles told the Transfer Window podcast.

Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last term after the Red Devils finished ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool FC and Chelsea FC.
