Man United turn down Jose Mourinho request to sign Brazilian – report
Man United will not pursue a move for Alex Sandro this summer, according to reports
Manchester United have turned down Jose Mourinho’s “demand” to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Manchester Evening News, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Red Devils have snubbed Mourinho’s request for a move to sign the Brazilian defender from Juventus this summer.
According to the same report, Sandro was Mourinho’s first choice to bolster his options at left-back this summer as the Portuguese coach looks to build a team capable of winning the title next season.
However, it is now being claimed that the Red Devils have chosen to ignore Mourinho’s request and not pursue a deal for the Brazilian left-back.
Sandro has long been linked with a possible transfer to the Premier League and he was strongly touted as a target for Chelsea FC last summer, but a move didn’t materialise.
Manchester United are thought to be on the lookout for a number of other signings this summer after having confirmed the arrival of both Fred and Diogo Dalot this month so far.
The Red Devils ended up in second place in the Premier League table last term and without a trophy in Mourinho’s second season in charge.
