Manchester United have made concrete their interest in Anderson Talisca after the Red Devils submitted a £35m offer to sign Benfica star, according to a report in Portugal.

Portuguese media outlet O Jogo, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the 20-time English champions want to sign the Brazil international in the summer transfer window.

The same article suggests that Manchester United have made a £35m offer to sign their long-term target and make Anderson their third signing of the summer so far.

According to the same story, the Red Devils will face competition from two unnamed clubs for the 24-year-old’s signature.

Worryingly, the report suggests that the Chinese clubs would be able to double or even triple the wage packet that Manchester United would put on the table.

Anderson is currently on loan at Turkish side Besiktas and scored 14 goals and made seven assists in 34 appearances in the Super Lig.

Manchester United signed Brazil international Fred in a £52m deal from Ukrainian Premier League champions Shakhtar Donetsk last week.

The Red Devils have also completed a deal for Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot as the teenager became the first compatriot of Jose Mourinho’s to move to Old Trafford.
