Duncan Castles gives Man United transfer update on Anthony Martial
Sunday Times reporter Duncan Castles sheds light on Anthony Martial's situation at Manchester United
Anthony Martial’s agent still doesn’t have a proper offer to end the France forward’s frustrating spell at Manchester United, Duncan Castles claims.
The France international, who was omitted from their World Cup squad for Russia 2018, has been linked with a potential move in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho hasn’t been afraid to criticise Martial in the British media despite the 22-year-old’s impressive first season at Old Trafford.
Indeed, Martial scored 19 times in all competitions, including a goal on his debut in a 3-1 win over bitter rivals Liverpool FC, to thrive under Mourinho’s predecessor Louis van Gaal.
Martial has been linked with a potential return to Ligue 1 with champions Paris Saint-Germain in the current transfer market.
Manchester United’s Premier League rivals Chelsea F and Tottenham Hotspur are also rumoured to be interested in Martial.
However, Sunday Times reporter Castles is adamant that Martial’s agent doesn’t have any offers for the French star.
“Martial’s agent doesn’t have a proper offer,” Castles told the Transfer Window podcast.
“A contract offer at the right level and at a club that would be able to make an offer of €100m.”
Manchester United signed Chile international Alexis Sanchez in a swap deal from Arsenal in the January transfer window as Henrikh Mkhitaryan left Old Trafford for north London.
