Man United haven’t reached agreement with Juventus over 22-year-old – report
Manchester United have agreed to sell Juventus their France striker Anthony Martial, according to a report
Manchester United haven’t reached an agreement to sell Anthony Martial to Juventus, according to a report in Italy.
Italian website Calciomercato has provided an update on Juve’s negotiations to sign Martial in response to speculation in England that suggested a deal had been agreed.
The same article refutes a report in the Daily Mirror that claimed Manchester United had agreed to sell the France international to the Serie A champions.
According to the same story, Manchester United are set to meet Juventus representatives to discuss the futures of trio Alex Sandro, Sami Khedira and Martial.
Calciomercato suggest Juve could use Sandro as a makeweight in a deal to get Martial’s asking price down but the Italian website ruled out the Serie A champions matching Manchester United’s £90m valuation.
The Red Devils have already signed Brazil international Fred in a £90m deal from Ukrainian Premier League champions Shakhtar Donetsk earlier in the transfer window.
Manchester United spent £17m on Porto defender Diogo Dalot to add more versatility to Mourinho’s team.
The 20-time English champions finished in second place in the Premier League table last term to secure their best finish since 2013.
Manchester United lost 1-0 to Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final.
