Antony Martial’s future at Manchester United hinges on Jose Mourinho, Dharmesh Sheth has claimed.

The Red Devils forward has been linked with a potential exit at Old Trafford this summer amid interest from the Premier League and abroad.

Martial has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot under Mourinho over the past 24 months or so since his appointment in 2016.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a potential move to sign the France international from Manchester United.

Chelsea FC are also rumoured to be keen to attain Martial in any deal that would see Willian head to Old Trafford.

Sky Sports News reporter Sheth believes Martial’s future at Manchester United depends on whether Mourinho can guarantee the Frenchman a starting spot.

“Man United have said that he is part of their plans,” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast.

“It just depends on whether Jose wants to make him a regular first team player next season or not.”

Martial has found his first-team opportunuties more difficult to come by in the second half of the 2017-18 Premier League campaign.

The France star has fallen down the pecking order after Manchester United signed Alexis Sanchez in a swap deal from Arsenal back in January.
