Sky Sports News reporter gives latest Man United transfer update on Anthony Martial
Anthony Martial has become frustrated with life at Manchester United, according to Dharmesh Sheth
Anthony Martial has grown increasingly disillusioned with life at Manchester United, Dharmesh Sheth has claimed.
The Red Devils signed Martial in a £36m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in the 2015 summer transfer window.
Martial proved an instant hit at Manchester United after the France international scored on his debut in a 3-1 win over Liverpool FC.
The France star finished his first season at Old Trafford with 19 goals in all competitions under Dutch head coach Louis van Gaal.
Martial has struggled since Jose Mourinho took over the reins at Manchester United and the Portuguese coach has criticised the Frenchman.
Spurs have been linked with a potential swoop to sign the France international in the summer transfer window.
Sky Sports News reporter Sheth believes Martial is frustrated with a lack of playing time at Manchester United this season.
“It seems to me that Martial isn’t second in the pecking order,” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast. “Hence why there is unhappiness.
“His agent has been vocal about the fact that it has been eight months and Man United haven’t tied him down.”
Martial has found his first-team opportunuties more difficult to come by in the second half of the 2017-18 Premier League campaign.
The France star has fallen down the pecking order after Manchester United signed Alexis Sanchez in a swap deal from Arsenal back in January.
