Gareth Bale is prepared to make Manchester United wait for a decision about his future as he continues to be linked with a move away from Real Madrid, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Express is reporting that Bale is in no rush to make a decision about his situation after Zinedine Zidane stepped down as Real Madrid boss last week.

Bale had sparked speculation about his future with his comments about his future in the wake of the Champions League final win over Liverpool FC last month.

Manchester United immediately emerged as one of the front-runners to secure his signature, but it is now being claimed that Bale wants to wait and see who will be appointed as the club’s new boss before making a decision about his future.

According to the same report, Real Madrid are keen to tie Bale down to a new contract, but the 28-year-old will not be rushed into a decision as he waits to see who will take over from Zidane at the Bernabeu.

Manchester United are set to be linked with a host of players this summer as they bid to build a squad capable of winning the title next season.

The Red Devils finished second and without a trophy after losing the FA Cup final to Chelsea FC in May.
