Insider adamant Man United won’t sign Premier League star this summer
Sky Sports News reporter Michael Bridge rules out Man United signing Danny Rose this summer
Manchester United won’t be signing Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose this summer, according to Michael Bridge.
The England international was heavily linked with a move to the Red Devils last summer after Spurs finished in second place in the Premier League table.
Rose was outspoken in the British media about the north London side’s wage structure to further suggest his time could be up.
The former Sunderland defender struggled with injuries and a loss of form in the 2017-18 Premier League season.
Rose fell behind Kieran Trippier in the pecking order in the north London side to cast doubt on his future at White Hart Lane.
Jose Mourinho has been regularly critical of Shaw following the England international’s lacklustre performances at Old Trafford.
Ashley Young is also in the twilight of his career to force Mourinho to think about new options at left-back.
Sky Sports News reporter Bridge believes Rose will remain at Tottenham despite Manchester United’s past interest.
“Last season there was interest in Tottenham’s Danny Rose. From what I’m told, it’s not come up again,” Bridge told the Transfer Talk podcast.
Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last season but ended up 19 points adrift of Manchester City.
The Premier League champions were 2-1 winners at Manchester United back in December in what proved to be the season’s turning point.
