Man United remain hopeful of keeping 30-year-old – report
Man United are hopeful of keeping Marouane Fellaini this summer, say reports
Manchester United remain hopeful of keeping hold of Marouane Fellaini by convincing him to sign a new contract, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils remain hopeful of retaining the services of the 30-year-old midfielder as they look to try and assemble a squad capable of winning the title next season.
Manchester United finished second in the Premier League table and without a trophy last season after they were beaten by Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final at Wembley back in May.
Fellaini’s future at Manchester United has been a source of constant uncertainty because his current contract is set to expire this summer.
But the same story says that Manchester United are still keen on keeping hold of the Belgian midfielder, with the offer of a new contract remaining on the table.
Fellaini has been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent days, although it is not clear whether there is any firm interest from the Gunners or not.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have already begun their summer recruitment drive by tying up deals for both Diogo Dalot and Fred last week.
