The Red Devils have been linked with a move to sign Fred in the summer transfer window following Michael Carrick’s retirement at the end of the 2017-18 season.
On Tuesday, Manchester United confirmed that Fred had become their first summer signing following months of speculation.

Sky Sports News reporter Bridge believes Manchester United had to pay around £50m to sign the 25-year-old from the Ukrainian Premier League champions.
“Man United seem confident they will get it over the line,” Bridge told the Transfer Talk podcast before the deal was confirmed. “We understand it will be around £50m.”
Fred scored 14 goals in 156 games for Ukrainian side Shakhtar during his five-season stay.
