The Red Devils announced earlier this week that they had agreed a deal to bring the Brazilian midfielder to Old Trafford as their first signing of the summer transfer window.
Jose Mourinho has evidently moved quickly to bolster his midfield options at Old Trafford after Michael Carrick retired at the end of last season.
Manchester United fans will now be looking forward to seeing the impact that Fred could have at Old Trafford next season as the Red Devils look to try and challenge for the Premier League title next term.
And Brazilian football expert Vickery believes that the 25-year-old is destined to be a big hit at Old Trafford in the seasons to come.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Vickery said: “They are getting an all-round midfielder. He is a box to box midfielder. He has a terrific engine. He has a very nice left foot.”
Manchester United are believed to also be on the lookout for a number of other top players this summer as they look to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
The Red Devils wrapped up a deal to bring young FC Porto right-back Diogo Dalot to Old Trafford on Wednesday.
