Ryan Giggs sends exciting message to Man United supporters about Gareth Bale
Wales manager Ryan Giggs believes Gareth Bale would be a good addition to the Manchester United team
Ryan Giggs believes Gareth Bale would be the perfect addition to the Manchester United team.
The Wales international has been heavily linked with a move to the Red Devils over the past few transfer windows.
Bale opted to remain at Real Madrid last summer and compete for his starting spot under Zinedine Zidane in the 2017-18 Premier League season.
The 29-year-old struggled to hold down a regular place under the French head coach throughout the current campaign.
However, Bale finished the season with a flurry after he scored four times in their final three La Liga fixtures.
The Welshman came off the bench to score two goals in Real Madrid’s 3-1 win against Liverpool FC in the Champions League final in Kiev last month.
Wales head coach and former Manchester United winger Giggs believes Bale would be an ideal player for the Red Devils.
“I’d be a happy United fan, that’s for sure,” Giggs told the South Morning China Post.
“I think he’s a Man United player. I think the fans would love him. The fans would adore him but again, like I say, he’s at a club where he’s won three Champions Leagues so why would you leave?”
Bale has won four Champions League titles, the La Liga and the Copa del Rey since his move to Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in a £85.7m deal in the 2013 summer transfer window.
Manchester United finished in second spot in the Premier League table last season and 19 points behind champions Manchester City.
