Man United will miss out on 29-year-old Premier League star – report
Manchester United won't sign Marko Arnautovic from West Ham this summer, according to a report in England
West Ham won’t sell Manchester United target Marko Arnautovic in the summer transfer window, according to a report in England.
The Evening Standard is reporting that the Red Devils will miss out on a potential deal to sign the Austria international due to West Ham’s reluctance to sell.
The same article states that Jose Mourinho attended Austria’s 1-0 win against Russia in an international friendly earlier this week.
According to the same story, Manchester United want to sign the 29-year-old to help close the gap between Manchester City and the Red Devils.
Arnautovic moved to West Ham in a £20m deal from Stoke City in the 2017 summer transfer window following five seasons at the Bet365 Stadium.
The Austrian playmaker scored 11 goals and made six assists in 31 appearances in the Premier League in his first season at the east London side.
Arnautovic worked with Manchester United boss Mourinho during the 2009-10 season at Serie A giants Inter Milan before the Austrian star moved to Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen.
Manchester United haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013 when the Red Devils got their hands on a 13th top flight crown under Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Red Devils lost 1-0 to Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final at Wembley last month.
