Marouane Fellaini is set to commit his future to Manchester United, according to a report
Marouane Fellaini is set to sign a new contract extension with Manchester United until 2020, according to a report in England.
Belgian media outlet Het Laatste Nieuws, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that Fellaini is set to commit his future to Manchester United.
The same article states that Fellaini was attracting interest from Arsenal, while Serie A giants AC Milan and Turkish side Fenerbahce have also been keeping tabs on Fellaini.
According to the same story, Fellaini has decided to extend his stay at Old Trafford until 2020 ahead of the expiration of his current contract on 1 July.
The report underlines that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is a big fan of Fellaini and was eager to keep the towering midfielder at the 20-time English champions.
Manchester United have already signed Brazil international Fred in a £52m deal from Ukrainian Premier League champions Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer transfer window.
Mourinho’s first summer signing was Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot after the full-back completed a £17m switch from FC Porto earlier this month.
Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last term to secure their best finish since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
