The Manchester Evening News, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the Red Devils are ready to use the want-away France international in a deal to sign Willian.
The 22-year-old attacker has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in the Manchester United team that cost Martial his place in France’s World Cup spot.
The same article states that Manchester United are eager to sign Willian from Chelsea FC to bolster their attacking options in wide areas ahead of the new Premier League season.
According to the same story, the Red Devils consider Martial’s resale value to be in excess of £60m after the France striker moved to Manchester United from AS Monaco in 2015.
Willian was part of the Chelsea FC team that won the Premier League title and the League Cup under Mourinho at Stamford Bridge in the 2015-16 season.
Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League table last term but ended up 19 points adrift of Manchester City.
The Red Devils lost 1-0 to Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final at Wembley last month.
