Local media outlet the Manchester Evening News is reporting that the Jose Mourinho is interested in a deal to sign the South American in the summer transfer window.
The same article states that Chelsea FC would look to incorporate France international Martial as part of any deal that would see Willian head to Old Trafford.
According to the same story, Manchester United would be reluctant to allow Martial to head one of their bitter Premier League rivals ahead of the 2018-19 season.
The French striker has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in the Manchester United team over the past 12 months or so.
Mourinho hasn’t been afraid to criticise Martial publicly due to the forward’s lack of discipline on the wing in the Manchester United team.
The former AS Monaco forward has struggled to flourish in the Manchester United team since Mourinho replaced Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford.
