Reported Man United target replies to transfer talk
Milan Skriniar says he is happy at Inter Milan after reports linking him with Man United
Milan Skriniar has insisted that he is happy at Inter Milan after having been linked with a transfer to Manchester United recently.
The Daily Star is reporting that the 23-year-old Slovakia international has been attracting interest from the Red Devils as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
The same story says that Skriniar is one of several defenders on Mourinho’s transfer wish-list this summer as the Portugal international looks to significantly add to his options at the back.
However, the defender has now appeared to rule out the possibility of a move away from the San Siro this summer by insisting that he is happy at Inter Milan and wants to stay.
Skriniar told Slovakian radio station Radio Expres, as quoted by the Daily Star in the same article: “I am very happy with the way we finished off the season.
“I don’t know about any offers, but I want to stay at Inter.
“Everyone in Milan was so kind and eager to help me settle in, for example the club helped me find an apartment.
“I am happy with the way they were genuinely interested in me.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United officially confirmed their second signing of the summer last week by tying up a deal to bring Fred to Old Trafford from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Red Devils are thought to still be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Mourinho looks to try and assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next term.
