Jose Mourinho to hand three Man United youngsters spots on US Tour – report
Jose Mourinho will hand three Manchester United youngsters places in the squad for the pre-season tour of the United States, say reports
Jose Mourinho has decided to hand three Manchester United youngsters places in the squad for the Red Devils’ pre-season tour of the United States, according to reports in the British media.
Metro is claiming that the Red Devils will take Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes and Matej Cover to the US after new assistant boss Kieran McKenna recommended the move to Mourinho.
The Red Devils will be without a number of first-team stars for their trip to the United States due to their players’ involvement in the World Cup in Russia this summer.
And that has apparently freed up some spots on the plane for Manchester United’s pre-season trip across the Atlantic.
Manchester United are set to play five games in the US this summer, including big-name fixtures against Liverpool FC and Real Madrid in July and August.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are believed to still be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Mourinho looks to assemble a squad capable of winning the title next season.
The Red Devils finished second in the Premier League table and without a trophy after they ended up losing the FA Cup final to Chelsea FC at Wembley back in May.
