Man United offered chance to sign 25-year-old from PSG – report
Man United could sign Marco Verratti in a swap deal involving Paul Pogba, say reports
Manchester United have been offered Marco Verratti by Paris Saint-Germain in a cash-plus-player deal for Paul Pogba, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the French side are keen on landing Pogba this summer and are prepared to offer the Red Devils the chance to sign the 25-year-old Italy international.
However, the same story says that it is not clear whether Manchester United do indeed want to cash in on Pogba this summer or not.
The article also claims that PSG would also consider a cash-only deal for Verratti this summer, with the Italy star having been touted as a target for the Red Devils as of late.
The same story says that PSG were thought to be close to tying Verratti down to a new contract, but conflicting stories say that he could actually be on his way out of Parc Des Princes this summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester United officially confirmed their second signing of the summer last week when they tied up a deal to bring Brazilian midfielder Fred to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils will be looking to at least challenge for the Premier League title next season after they finished second and without a trophy last term.
